Cadillac XTS — Epsilon II, enlarged (2013–2019)

The NICB VIN manuals list the Cadillac XTS from the 2013 through the 2019 model year, in front- and all-wheel drive, as Base (Standard from 2014), Luxury Collection, Premium Collection, Platinum Collection (Platinum Edition from 2015), a Livery series, twin turbo series from 2014 (Vsport from 2015, V-Sport from 2017) and, from 2017, Luxury, Premium Luxury and Platinum. The repository holds no GM order guide or RPO code list for the XTS; the one XTS factory document, GM's 2014 Car and Truck Guide, prints the eight 2014 paint colour codes (and a ninth, Summit White, for the Livery/Limousine model) but no options or packages, so the other rows come from GM Authority's RPO Central articles, which print GM's RPO-level change list for each model year from 2014 to 2018 (and for the XTS Professional livery and coachbuilder models), from Wikipedia's engine table, and from the NICB livery series; there is no source for 2019 codes. A change list dates a code to the year it is new, changed or deleted, so most rows carry one or two years only; the years between them are gaps, not claims.

Codes

Engines

Code Description Years Models/Notes Confidence
LF3 Engine, 3.6L V6, twin turbo, DOHC, VVT 2014 new for the model year: Premium Collection and Platinum Collection AWD; 410 hp per Wikipedia; Wikipedia's engine table agrees on the code and dates it 2013–2019, so only 2014 is claimed (GM Authority 2014 XTS changes; Wikipedia Cadillac XTS) confirmed
LFX Engine, 3.6L V6, DOHC, VVT 2013–2019 304 hp; Wikipedia's engine table for the XTS names LFX as the 3.6L V6 and dates it 2013–2019 (2013 and 2019 come from that table); GM's 2014 Car and Truck Guide lists a 3.6L SIDI DOHC V6 VVT at 304 hp for the XTS without printing the code; sibling: the Chevrolet Impala (also Epsilon II) prints LFX as its 3.6L V6 in its 2014 fleet order guide, a corroboration of the code only and not an XTS source; single-source: the XTS tie is Wikipedia alone single-source
