  • 2012–2015 Disputed

Wikipedia's engine table lists LFX for 2011–2017, but its text names the V6 LLT and says it arrived after the V8; GM Authority's 2009 launch article promised the V6 for the 2012 model year, so 2011 is left out; GM Authority's LFX engine page lists the Caprice PPV without years; the 2014 guide prints a standard 3.6L SIDI DOHC V6 VVT with no code

  • 2016 Single-source

standard; GM Authority's 2016 article, whose own text names the engine (it credits GM's order guides only for the absence of changes); the 2017 order guide prints it (301 hp at 6700 rpm, 265 lb-ft at 4800 rpm) only as contents of 1SB, the one equipment group every car carries (p.4, p.5, p.8, p.14), and in its RPO code index (p.21), so 2017 is not claimed

This page aggregates every documented appearance of LFX in the Chevrolet reference. Confidence and citations are shown per application — the same code can be better documented in one year than another.
