    Chevrolet Volt — first generation (2011–2015)

    The first-generation Chevrolet Volt is an electric car with a lithium-ion propulsion battery (EVB), the Voltec electric drive (MKA) and a 1.4L range-extender engine (LUU). GM's 2015 fleet order guide lists it as one model, 1RC68, and GM's 2014 Fleet Car & Truck Guide calls it a sedan and places its assembly at Detroit/Hamtramck. The NICB VIN manuals print it as the Volt Standard and Volt Premium: with navigation (and leather on the Premium) in 2011, with or without navigation from 2012 to 2014, with a Low Emissions Package series in 2012, 2013 and 2015, and with an export series from 2012 to 2015.

    Gaps: the only GM ordering document in the repository is the 2015 fleet order guide (Wayback Machine captures). The 2012 to 2014 years come from GM Authority's model-year RPO change pages (codes new for a year, and codes deleted or changed the next year), from GM's 2014 Fleet Car & Truck Guide (paint codes only) and from GM service bulletin PIC5384E, both captured in the repository and cited as factory documents; no source read lists the 2011 options, so 2011 has one row only (UFV). A code that a GM Authority page says was deleted or changed for a year is not placed in the year before it unless a source shows it there, so NK5, GBV, GLC, FIF, PCW, UPF, UD5, RSB, AFC, AFF and AFE (deleted) and the earlier AFA reading (changed) have no row. A row's Years therefore name only the years a source shows the code (a code seen in 2012 or 2013 and again in 2015 has a separate single-source row for the earlier years), not every year it was built. Rows that rest only on GM Authority's 2012 or 2013 change pages, which do not say they come from GM, are single-source.
