Chevrolet Corvette RPO Codes — 1968–1982 (C3)
Part 2 of 2 of the Corvette RPO reference (see corvette.md for the index

Famous C3 options at a glance: L88 427 race engine (1968: 80 built; 1969: 116); ZL1 all-aluminum 427 (1969: 2 built at $4,718.35 — the option cost more than the base car); LT1 solid-lifter 350 (1970–72) and the ZR1 Special Purpose LT1 package (25 / 8 / 20 built 1970–72); LS6 454/425 (1971: 188 built) and its ZR2 package (12 built, 1971 only); the announced but never-produced 1970 LS7 454/460; the 1978 Indy Pace Car replica (6,502 built) and Silver Anniversary paint B2Z; and the 1982 Collector Edition hatchback (6,759 built). Horsepower ratings are SAE gross through 1971 and SAE net from 1972 on — the big 1972 "drops" are mostly the rating change, not detuning.

Famous option — L88 ($947.90; 80 built): second of three L88 years. Note: 1968 had no factory side-mount exhaust — N11 "off road" (under-car) was the exhaust option; side-mount N14 is 1969-only on the C3.
